About Me
From my homeschooling days to my present role as a tilt-rotor crew chief in the Marine Corps, my life has been a journey filled with experiences that have shaped me into the person I am today. At the age of five, I started martial arts training and quickly became hooked. My passion for martial arts continued until I turned eighteen, and during this time, I learned discipline, focus, and perseverance. Swimming has also been a constant in my life, and from an early age, I joined a swim team and volunteered as a swim instructor.
In my teenage years, I volunteered at Teen Court, which helped first-time misdemeanor youthful offenders get a second chance. I also took advantage of the Dual Enrollment program at Miami Dade College, where I worked towards my Associate's Degree while in high school. My time at the college was a valuable learning experience, and it ignited my passion for programming and working with computers. With dedication and hard work, I was able to graduate high school with an Associate in Science at the age of eighteen.
Soon after, I joined the Marine Corps, where I underwent intense boot camp training. As a tilt rotor crew chief, I am responsible for ensuring the safety and functionality of the MV-22B Ospreys. From monitoring the surroundings of the aircraft to performing maintenance, loading cargo and weapons systems, and ensuring the safety of passengers, my job is challenging and rewarding. As a crew chief, I am constantly learning and improving my skills, and my role is vital in maintaining the safety and functionality of the aircraft.
One of the great opportunities that the Marine Corps has given me is the chance to travel to foreign countries as part of my job. I have been lucky enough to travel to and live for several months in Italy, Spain, Portugal, Morocco, and Norway for work, and these experiences have broadened my horizons in countless ways. Traveling to different countries has given me exposure to diverse cultures and lifestyles, and I have learned how to interact with people from different backgrounds. This has given me invaluable skills and strengths that can benefit me in the work environment, such as adaptability, communication, and cross-cultural competence.
During my travels, I have had the opportunity to work with international partners, including foreign military personnel and civilian contractors. This has allowed me to develop my leadership skills, as I have learned how to coordinate and collaborate with people who have different perspectives and ways of working. I have also had to adapt to different work environments, as the challenges and requirements of each mission can vary significantly depending on the location and context.
Overall, my experiences in the Marine Corps have been challenging, rewarding, and transformative. I am grateful for the opportunities that I have had to develop my skills, travel to new places, and work with people from diverse backgrounds. As I prepare to transition out of the military, I am excited to apply the lessons and strengths that I have gained to my next chapter in life. Whether it's in the civilian workforce or further education, I am confident that the skills and experiences that I have gained in the Marine Corps will serve me well in any future endeavors.
As my time in the military is coming to an end, I am excited to embark on a new journey and pursue new opportunities. I plan to take advantage of the skills and experience I gained in the Marine Corps and apply them to a new career path. I have a passion for technology and programming, and I plan to continue my education in computer science and pursue a career in the tech industry. I am eager to explore all the opportunities available to me and take on new challenges. While my time in the military has been an incredible experience, I am ready to move on to the next chapter of my life and see where my skills and talents can take me.
